Artemis ARC Receives Contract with VHA Office of Nursing Services

Artemis ARC received a contract from the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Nursing Services (ONS) and the Department of Defense (DOD) Nursing Science and Clinical Inquiry Division to provide Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) implementation support services.

VHA ONS, in collaboration with the DOD Nursing Science and Clinical Inquiry Division, develops hospital EBP guidelines to improve patient care. The VHA-DOD Joint Incentive Fund developed a knowledge management platform to allow for the collaboration and sharing of EBP guidelines to standardize and systematize best practices to provide consistent quality of care and utilization of resources.

The Artemis team will support the implementation and outcomes analysis of the platform Ovid Synthesis, including providing coaching, mentoring and tracking of projects. Artemis will use its specialized research experience in Federal medical systems to assess similarities and differences and ensure effective implementation and post-implementation analysis of evidence-based nursing principles in VHA and DOD health care systems.

“Implementing the platform and the EBP projects means not only will patients receive evidence-based care, but it will also help improve their overall patient experience,” said Claire Brunette, director of growth. “Supporting this effort strongly relates to the Artemis mission we are so passionate about serving. We look forward to assisting VHA and DOD and helping to improve the quality of health care.”
