Artemis Employees Log 477 Miles During Fitness Challenge While Supporting Disabled Veterans
Artemis employees spent six weeks moving for a good cause this summer. Fitness Frenzy 2026, the company’s annual wellness challenge, wrapped up Aug. 31 with employees logging a combined 477 miles along with running, walking, weightlifting, yoga, horse riding, kayaking and more, all in support of the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic.
Participants tracked their active days and mileage each week, cheering on teammates and swapping stories along the way, from hikes on Scotland’s Fife Coastal Path to early-morning workouts before the workday began.
“Supporting Veterans isn’t a one-time gesture at Artemis, it’s the foundation of who we are,” said Aly Glick, CEO of Artemis. “I logged a few miles myself this year, and watching our team move together for six weeks in support of the Winter Sports Clinic made this year’s Fitness Frenzy especially meaningful.”
Employees competed across several categories, with Natalie Downing taking home both Most Miles, Leigh Starr securing Most Active Days, John Lingan named Most Improved, and the team of Sirisha Garimella and Natalie Downing claiming Top Team. Emmie McMackin and Lara Rohr earned Best Team Spirit, McMackin also took Best Photo, and even a family pet got in on the fun, with Gabby Oliver’s horse Gunner named Family MVP.
Artemis is a Veteran-owned small business that works extensively with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and supporting Veterans is central to the company’s mission. That connection made the Winter Sports Clinic a natural choice for this year’s Fitness Frenzy charitable partner. Artemis made a donation to support the clinic, which brings adaptive skiing, sled hockey, rock climbing and other activities to about 400 disabled Veterans each year in Snowmass, Colorado.
